Today's episode is related to a thought leadership topic, titled "Bridging The Middle Skills Gap With Veterans."
I'm really excited to introduce you to our special guest Rob Kent.
Rob is an innovator and growth leader in the greater Los Angeles area, accelerating startups to success. He has a 20-year career that spans from the military to Fortune 500 companies and startups. He is a co-founder of two companies, one in biotech related to stem cell innovation, called Synova Life Sciences. The second is a new electric vehicle charging platform that incorporates peer-to-peer sharing artificial intelligence, which is AI, and Internet of Things, which is IoT.
Prior to his business success, Rob was a surface warfare officer in the US Navy, where he directed missions in Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and South America. Rob excels in building and leading innovation teams.
Rob has been giving back by working with veterans, helping them transition from the military to careers and starting their own business.
In this episode we discuss how veterans make great candidates for technology careers and can be an essential opportunity for veterans and hiring companies to make the connection discussed in this episode.
