The desire for more and exceptional accommodation is something that many tourists long for and expect when planning their next holiday. Luxury villas and condos have long been an expense that many travellers are happy to splash out on in order to avoid the confinement of a typical 5 star hotel suite in order to have a more unique, Instagram-worthy experience. Even Airbnb has taken steps to play in this area with Beyond by Airbnb, following the acquisition of Luxury Retreats just over a year ago offering the platform's highest-end homes as well as Airbnb Plus, which includes 2,000 design-forward homes in several cities all over the world.

One of the most sought after destinations for luxury travel is Palm Springs, a city in southern California best known for its hot springs, stylish hotels, golf courses and spas and of course the world famous music and arts festival Coachella.
