S1 E15: Our Stories - "Casey Faces Her Bio Dad"

In a strange twist, Laura and Casey's grandmothers died only one week apart. In part one of "Our Stories", Casey shares the story of how she attended her beloved paternal grandmother's funeral after 10 years of absence. While there, she had to unexpectedly face her abusive, estranged father for the first time in a decade and explains all of the heartbreak, regret, and ultimately the joy that comes along with a decade of absence, finally facing her fears, and being embraced by a family she had forgotten loved her.
