Diabetes is a very small part of what makes Drew. He is an exercise physiologist, diabetes educator, sport scientist and most importantly – a happy and healthy guy thriving with type 1 diabetes.
Not only has he accepted living with diabetes, but he has also learned to love it and manage it so that it doesn’t manage him.
Sure, his world shifted when he was first diagnosed, but after making positive changes to the way he lives, eats, moves and his new approach on life, he can honestly say he is happier and healthier today than he was before his diagnosis. So in a way, you could say that diabetes gave him the gift of health.
Drew's background as a health professional and his own personal triumph with managing diabetes has ignited a passion to share everything he knows about the illness and how he manages it.
