Best known for his television roles as Rick Sammler on Once and Again, as Det. Joey Indelli on Crime Story, as Jordan Collier on The 4400, and as Dr. Jon Fielding on the Tales of the City miniseries. He is also known for his recurring role as Luke Fuller in Dynasty which was his first prominent role. His most notable films include Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Enough. He portrayed Darren Richmond on the AMC television series The Killing, and played Dr. Alan Farragut in the SyFy series Helix.
And he was the title character in a little film called The Rocketeer.
Amy’s career in theater and film has spanned more than 30 years, from Broadway to San Francisco Opera to George Lucas’s Industrial Light & Magic. She has worked as a Stage Technician (Lighting, Props, Grip, Costumes), Stage & Production Manager, Special Effects Pyrotechnician and Model Maker.
Some of her film credits include: Terminator 2, Star Trek VI, Star Trek Generations, Hook, Casper and The Rocketeer. (She was on the Pyro crew which blew up the zeppelin and the Hollywoodland sign and created a lot of other flame effects used in the film.)
Amy lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area where she has found a second career following her personal passion, promoting space exploration and preserving space history, as an Event Coordinator, Operations and Social Media Manager for The Space Station Museum .
Lothar’s tether, now stretched to its limit, pulls him back to a standstill. Cliff and Jenny run past him. Lothar turns to face the oncoming hydrogen inferno. He holds his hands up in front of him and yells, just as he’s engulfed by the flames.
Meanwhile, in the autogyro, Howard Hughes shouts at Peevy, “Drop the ladder!”
“Right!” replies Peevy, tossing a rolled up wire ladder off the port wing. Cliff and Jenny hurry to reach the oncoming ladder.
“Jump for it, Clifford!” shouts Peevy. The flames are almost on top of them. There’s a burst of flame, and Jenny and Cliff emerge from the flames, still hanging onto the ladder.
“Let’s get outta here!” shouts Hughes, and banks the autogyro left. The autogyro heads away from the pillar of fire as the fully-engulfed airship crashes into the Hollywood hillside. The swastika on the tail burns away, revealing the metal framework of the airship. Soon, only flames and smoke are visible as the scene fades.
The scene changes to Sunday morning, October 16th. Millie picks fresh oranges from a tree across the street from the Bull Dog Cafe. Goose and Skeets wave at Millie as they enter the cafe.
“Hi, Millie!” yells Goose.
“Hey, ‘morning Millie!” yells Skeets. “How’re ya doing?”
“‘Morning, boys!” replies Millie.
In their usual booth inside the diner, Peevy reads the morning paper to Jenny and Cliff.
“Film fans,” begins Peevy, “were saddened by the news that actor Neville –”
