Malcolm is unconscious. flying in the Miss Mable. Cliff is sitting on the landing gear underneath the cockpit. He climbs up onto the right wing. Malcolm is groggy and raises his head.
“Come on, Malcolm,” says Cliff, “wake up!” He grabs Malcolm and says, “Malcolm, it’s me, Cliff! Wake up! Wake up, Malcolm!” Malcolm doesn’t stir, but the plane tilts to the right, spilling Cliff off the wing.
The crowd below screams. Bigelow tries to calm them. “Oh, don’t worry, folks — it’s all part of the show!” he says.
Cliff falls for several seconds, then ignites his rocket pack. He thunders back up to the ship, arriving at nearly the same place he left, on the right wing. Cliff turns off his rocket engine, and accidentally steps on the control stick, pitching the plane into a stall. Cliff falls the length of the aircraft, and out into the sky. He falls into a small cloud, and reignites his rocket pack. Once again, he flies back to the right wing. The plane pitches down as Cliff grasps frantically at the slumped-over Malcolm.
“Malcolm! Malcolm, wake up!” yells Cliff. The plane is headed toward the ground, nose first. “Get up, you tub of guts!” yells Cliff. “Get out of here!” The plane is headed straight for the fuel truck that Bigelow parked away from the runway.
