Best known for his television roles as Rick Sammler on Once and Again, as Det. Joey Indelli on Crime Story, as Jordan Collier on The 4400, and as Dr. Jon Fielding on the Tales of the City miniseries. He is also known for his recurring role as Luke Fuller in Dynasty which was his first prominent role. His most notable films include Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Enough. He portrayed Darren Richmond on the AMC television series The Killing, and played Dr. Alan Farragut in the SyFy series Helix.
And he was the title character in a little film called The Rocketeer.
Cliff and Jenny are at the Bulldog Cafe. Jenny just found out that Cliff’s plane crashed this morning. Cliff said he didn’t want to ruin her evening with the news.
“Thank you!” says Jenny, sarcastically. “That’s very thoughtful of you! You’d rather make a fool out of me?”
Cliff pauses and tries to think of what to say. “I’m sorry,” says Cliff.
“I don’t want you to be sorry, Cliff,” replies Jenny. “I want you to stop treating me like – – like a stranger. When something goes wrong, I should be the first to know about it. I shouldn’t be the last.”
“Jen,” says Cliff, “everyone knows because they were at the airfield!”
“I had an audition,” says Jenny. “It was important to me.”
“I understand,” says Cliff, quietly. “Just like the last time, when I flew the regionals. You got a big part. You stood behind Myrna Loy with a bowl of grapes.”
Jenny glares at Cliff, then turns toward the lunch counter. “Good night, Millie,” says Jenny, getting up from the booth. “Thank you for the soup.” She walks out of the diner.
Cliff sits in the booth, shaking his head.
“Well?” says Millie, slapping a towel on the counter. “Go after her, you dope!”
Hamburger in hand, Cliff runs for the door.
Outside the cafe, Cliff watches Jenny get on a Los Angeles Motor Coach Lines bus #3107, at the intersection of Encino Avenue and Oxnard Street. “Jenny!” he yells, but Jenny is already on board. The bus pulls away.
Malcolm joins Cliff outside the Bull Dog Cafe. Malcolm looks regretful.
