Today Google unveiled their new streaming gaming platform, Stadia. It looks to deliver high quality 4K, 60 fps video games streamed to basically any screen that you own... from your TV to your computer, to your tablet, to your laptop, to even your phone.
If everything works as expected, and the bandwidth requirements aren't too rigorous, this could be a real game-changer. No longer do you have to build a multi-thousand dollar gaming PC to play games in that quality, you just have to have an internet connection and any old device. Alongside the platform, Google announced a Stadia controller, and the first Stadia-enabled game: Doom Eternal.
We'll find out more about Stadia this summer, but it certainly sounds pretty impressive so far!
