In this week's books podcast, Sam Leith, Literary Editor of The Spectator is joined by the Pulitzer-Prize-winning writer Jhumpa Lahiri. Since moving to Rome from the States in 2012, Jhumpa has plunged into Italian literature and the Italian language -- writing a novel and a memoir in that language, and now editing the Penguin Book of Italian Short Stories. She talks about the way a second language changes you, about the way Italian writers coped with Fascism -- and why, as Professor of Creative Writing at Princeton, she refuses to teach creative writing.
