Federal appropriations subcommittee budget hearings
BONUS CONTENT
*REMINDER*. No live show this Saturday, April 6th.
On Native Opinion, we often cover stories pertaining to the destructive behavior of the Oil and Gas industry. This past year we have broadened coverage to include the emerging Off-Shore wind industry. This bonus content contains a recent Federal appropriations subcommittee budget hearings covering The Bureau of Ocean and Energy Management (BOEM), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and other related federal agencies under the Department of the Interior.
We thought it might be interesting for you to hear testimony from this hearing and how your money is being used to create these budgets. There are also questions posed by the committee members to the agency leaders which are interesting. For example, there is an exchange asking why Oil and Gas companies are not paying “Their Fair Share” of fees for safety inspections. The focus will be primarily on the budget of BOEM, and of the Ocean, Floor land leases that they sell to the highest bidder…
FEDERAL AGENCY LEADERS:
Dr. Walter Cruickshank, Acting Director, BOEM
Other witnesses will be Director Scott Angelle of BSEE and Dr. Brian Steed, Acting Director of BLM.
