EPISODE #179: RUTH, CHAPTER 4 (Be Noble Series)
It's our final week discussing the book of Ruth, and we're wrapping up the series focusing on chapter 4 and our hero of the story, Boaz! He was a man who esteemed and protected Ruth, who provided for her and Naomi, and welcomed her not just into his country, but into his land, his harvest and his heart. In this episode, we explore what led to the incredible character of Boaz, where he learned such integrity and strength. The answer just may surprise you!
BE IN THE WORD:
All of Ruth, Chapter 4
“Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab.” (Matthew 1:5)
“Joshua let Rahab live.” (Joshua 6:25)
BE DOERS, NOT JUST HEARERS:
1. Who are you raising? Parents – are you raising your girls to be women of noble character like Ruth? Are you raising your boys to be strong and courageous men of God?
2. Are you willing to let your expectations go so that your life can look the way God wants it to? Ruth thought she was going to live in Moab with her husband and raise a family there. But she was willing to let go of all the expectations of how she thought her life would go, and because of that, God was able to pour out blessings she did not have room to contain.
