Theresa May is expected to be granted a Brexit extension when EU leaders meet tomorrow, but the British prime minister will first have to convince the bloc that she has a credible plan in place to get a deal passed. European Council president Donald Tusk has floated the idea of a ‘flextension’ of up to 12 months which could be cancelled at any time in the event of a deal, but May is looking for a shorter one – until June 30th. Plus: President Trump looks set to push for tougher border security with the resignation of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and the removal of Secret Service Director Randolph “Tex” Alles.
