The CAQ (Coalition Avenir Quebec/Coalition for Quebec's Future) are currently attempting to strong-arm their way to a new law that would prevent teachers, judges, and more from wearing any type of religious symbol on the job. This is an affront to people's religious freedoms, but it's also an affront to the Canadian legal system, and it's a ridiculously hypocritical idea coming from a province where every other street is named after a Catholic saint.
So, we sat down with history teacher Rob Green to learn all about it! Rob taught Tom like 9 years ago, and is now preparing to run for the Green Party in the upcoming elections! He's also got a degree in Religious Studies, and has been the face of the English Montreal School Board's recent protests against the CAQ's racist proposal. So, strap in and get ready to learn a whole lot and also to get angry!
