But then there are people like Michael McKee, a doting son and soldier for the unseen who now works as the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships at GLAAD, an organization that works across entertainment, news and digital media to accelerate acceptance for the LGBTQ community. While he once felt dehumanized, Michael never gave up in finding common ground between diverse groups and building bridges that connected resources to communities in need.
