Your friendly neighbourhood Castologists are here to tell you where to go... to get good podcasts. (Not the other way, sheesh, we don't want you all to get mad at us and leave!) Liz dips back into the Wondery barrel to look at their new offering One Plus One, Zane explains what the "ology" part in Castology means (and a whole lot more ologies too) with the appropriately named Ologies, and Patrick gets newsy and questions everything with The Fifth Column. Got thoughts? We know you do! Send them to us!
Liz Recommends - One Plus One
https://wondery.com/shows/one-plus-one/
Liz was all about this podcast that explores famous partnerships in history because the first series looks at Beatles Lennon and McCartney and she s all about them (and always has been even before her stupid ex claims he got her to love them, so there.)
"Every great collaboration is a love story. It’s intense. Passionate. Along the way, there’s flashes of love, hate, pride, ego, ambition, and brilliance. Think: Jay-Z and Beyonce. Google’s Sergei Brin and Larry Page. Lenin and Trotsky. The Lakers’ Shaq and Kobe. From Wondery, the company behind the hit podcast “Business Wars,” comes ONE PLUS ONE, an ongoing series about what happens when two geniuses come together to do something they could never accomplish on their own. In each six-episode series, hosts Rico Gagliano (Safe for Work) and Faith Salie (CBS’ This Morning) will bring you the ups and downs of the world’s greatest and most dramatic collaborations. And they will look at some key questions: Why does creative tension often spark something magical? And what can we learn from these stories to help with our own life and work partnerships?"

Pat Recommends - The Fifth Column Podcast
What's more fun than listening to a bunch of well informed journos sitting around, getting drunk and shooting the breeze about the state of play? Probably loads of stuff but this is still worth your time I swear. I first clued onto this thanks to Kmele Foster of Free Think Media appearing on a bunch of my other feeds. Now I've gotten to know his friends Matt Welch of Reason Magazine and Michael Moynihan from Vice News and boy am I glad I did. These podcasts usually consist of the above three doing the higher above, but they'll sometimes have a guest on or opt for a one on one interview style.
