Sedation Dentistry
Imagine increasing
your revenue by using sedation dentistry. The big perk is that patients are
able to relax and get all the painful procedures done at one time and the
dentist can do the best work.
Welcome to the Minisode have a doctor's perspective podcast.
Today's episode is going to be a fee for service dentistry sedation procedures.
This was a cool episode. I don't know about you. I'm white knuckling at the
dentist. I don't get cavities, and I still who I don't like when they miss and
they scrape your gums you like I yeah, so I can imagine getting stabbed and
having to do root canals, are they digging in your mouth. I mean, the only
procedure I ever had was when I was younger, have a wisdom teeth removed and GM
draft and stuff and I was like, Mom, please let me get some nitric oxide or
something, I can't be awake for this. So they give you value was like, please just
do it. So she did.
But it's not a normal thing in the dentist office to be able
to do sedation. Now some people you know do the nitric oxide and some people
can do and actually like IV drip and you're out and it does create a little bit
more staff involved to get all this done safely but it just takes the edge the
scariness and you can do a lot more procedures at the same time is not gonna
make a lot of money on the anesthesia part. It's not really about that it's
just that you get to do your work the best you can for those who are scared for
those who are like I can't keep my mouth open for two hours.
So you just pretty much sedate them and they won't remember
what happened and in the long run they said you know like so you can actually
make more money because they can actually do all the procedures that were
necessary at one time in one sitting and just get it done and the patient has
to recruit one time so I thought that was pretty cool point a lot of education
that goes in to doing that for Dennis but seems like it's worth it. Whether
your cash pays our insurance based so it was a fun one.
Definitely check it out. It's tough to find it didn't have
numbers that had a number I will just give you the episode number so sorry
about that. But you will listen to Dr. Justin Trosclair #behindthecurtain.
