This week we start on our 3 part series on the events of the 1972 Munich Olympics. What should have been a time of happiness and friendly competition quickly turned into terror. A group of armed Palestinians burst into the apartment of the athletes representing Israel and took them hostage for political gain and the release of prisoners in Israel. In this episode we are going to be talking about the background of the group responsible, Black September, and the beginning of the attack on the Israeli athletes.
