About Jennifer Crawford
After realizing she didn't want to leave college burdened by debt, and an income ceiling, Jennifer Crawford started her first business at 19 years old with $75. She grew that business into a million dollar company, and started her lifelong love affair wth entrepreneurship. After selling that company to a competitor, she converted a 1970's auto body shop into an early co-working space for the creative class called The Soundry. The Soundry was a spiritual success, but a massive financial failure. She dusted herself off, and now owns Social Media Rescue, a boutique agency that works with small and medium sized business to harness creative thinking to combine their online and offline marketing to build unique, revenue generating models. SMR also specializes in online customer service triage to drastically improve a company's online reputation.
In addition to running her company, she co-hosts and produces The JellyVision Show Podcast, and Podbean's company podcast, Podcasting Smarter. She is also the Founder of DC PodFest, a two-day podcasting conference in its third year and happening November 10-11, 2017. Instead of therapy, she performs regularly with her improv troupe, The Improv Imps. She lives with her husband, Thor and their three-legged rescue Pug, Dirt, in Fairfax, Virginia.
