26: The Ilford Murder

On the 3rd October 1922, Percy and Edith Thompson were on their way home from the theatre and had just arrived in Ilford, East London, close to where they lived. A man appeared out of the bushes and began to attack Percy while Edith looked on horrified.  This attack initially looked like a random attack however it would soon come to light that the attacker wasn't a stranger after all.
