1. Destruction of Hezbollah terror tunnels continues
   The IDF is now entering day three of operation northern shield and thankfully, the calm is holding, despite the high state of alert. The plan to find and destroy terror group Hezbollah’s attack tunnels into Israel is far from over however; as it’s still projected to last at least several weeks to a month.

   The state comptroller's office has just denied Prime Minister’s Netanyahu’s request to have his wealthy friends and family cover his legal fees in defending against the corruption investigations against him. Netanyahu’s attorneys asked that U.S. Tycoon Spencer Patrick and his cousin pay his defense fees in all 3 cases.
3. Maj. Gen. Edri rejecting police chief nomination
   Major General Moshe Edri officially withdrew his candidacy for police commissioner yesterday, days after he was rejected by a vetting committee and amid new reports raising questions about his conduct during the nomination process.
   5. Israeli drug trafficker re-arrested in Brazil
   An Israeli suspected of being a drug trafficker, who was caught and escaped from custody, was re-captured yesterday by Brazilian authorities in Sao Paulo. 4. Rashida Tlaib brings BDS to congress
   US Democratic Congresswoman-elect Rashida Tlaib, who is the first Palestinian-American ever elected to congress, has now announced her support for the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement against Israel, as well as her plans to refuse the annual trip to Israel, hosted by AIPAC

8. New section of TLV bike paths inaugurated
   TLV has just opened up the first section of a planned 110 km or 68 mile-long network of bike paths which is set to run throughout the whole city. The recently inaugurated trail crosses the Hayarkon park area, towards Ramat Hahayal in north Tel Aviv.
9. Month-long wine festival begins
