1. IDF enters day 2 of ‘operation northern shield”
   Tensions are high, but seemingly calm along the northern border Wednesday morning as Israeli defense forces continue operation northern shield, a large scale initiative to find and destroy Hezbollah attack tunnels coming into the Golan.

2. UNSC holds closed session on Iran’s missile tests

The UN Security Council met on Tuesday for a closed door discussion over Iran’s missile testing program. France and the U.K. had called for the meeting in light of Iran’s testing last week of medium range ballistic missiles which have the ability to carry nuclear warheads and strike anywhere in the Middle East and even parts of Europe.

4. PM convenes committee on violence against women
   Prime Minister Netanyahu chaired a meeting of the ministerial committee on violence against women and in his opening remarks he equated violence against women with terrorism and said that the government needs to help women victims of violence while at the same time giving a “punch in the face” to abusive husbands.
   5. Sephardic chief rabbi of Jerusalem meets Maduro
   In an historic visit to the country, the president of Venezuela welcomed on Sunday, the Sephardic chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar, but the visit has become highly divisive now and ILTV’S Latin America correspondent Joy Gavillon is here with more on this story.
   6. Vote over Haredi conscription delayed again
   Much to the surprise of the public, and contrary to reports from Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit, the Israeli high court of justice earlier this week again issued an extension for voting on the Haredi military conscription bill.
5. Shin Bet looking for innovative start-ups
   The Shin Bet, one of Israel’s primary intelligence agencies, has just announced that it is widening its search for local innovative start-ups with great cutting-edge solutions. They are doing this with Tel Aviv University’s, academic-based venture capital program, TAU ventures. ILTV’S Doriel Mizrachi has the rest.
   8. Einstein “g-d letter” sells for $2.9 million
   A handwritten letter by Albert Einstein in which he offers his thoughts on G-D and his Jewish identity has sold for $2.9 million at an auction in New York. The one and a half page letter, dubbed “the G-D letter” was written in 1954 and had been estimated by Christie’s to go for around $1.5 million.
