4. Hit-and-run suspect was previously deported
On Sunday night, Spanish journalist Julio De La Guardia slammed his car into 31-year-old ultra-orthodox musician Chaim Tukachinsky, killing him in a hit-and-run drunk-driving accident and now, it’s also been revealed that the suspect had actually already been deported from Israel for beating and injuring his wife during a domestic dispute.

8. Breast cancer mortality rates improve in Israel
According to the health ministry and the Israel cancer association, the mortality rate from breast cancer in Israeli Jewish woman has fallen 25 percent between the years 2005 to 2015. And reports say the decline is a direct result of heightened awareness leading to an increase in early detections and usage of mammography scans.
