A few days ago, Aziz Azbar and his driver were killed in an apparent car bombing. Azbar is one of Syria’s leading rocket scientists, who worked on numerous projects with both Iranian and Hezbollah weapons teams.

In a massive deal for both diplomacy and economics, Egypt has just signed an agreement to begin importing Israeli gas starting next year. Though a lot of details still need to be worked out for this deal to go into effect, Israeli leaders are already hailing it as a major stepping-stone in Egypt-Israeli friendship.
