4. Guatemala Embassy sets ribbon-cutting
Next Week Prime Minister Netanyahu will cut the ribbon and declare the new U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem open for business, but we won’t have to wait long for the next such ceremony because just two days after that it looks like Guatemala’s Embassy will officially make the move as well.
5. Israelis eat way too much chicken?
Israel may already boast the title of having the most vegans per capita, but Israelis apparently can’t give meat up fast enough. A newly published study has just revealed that Israel has the world’s worst carbon-dioxide emissions from its poultry, or chicken industry.
Israel’s tech sector is already booming, but this year, innovators decided to give back to the country in an amazing way. A hundred and fifty tech engineers have just gathered for a three-day event in Tel Aviv, to create solutions for Israeli war veterans who were injured in combat.
9. Netta Barzilai & ‘Toy’ head to finals
Israelis across the country are celebrating because it looks like Israel may actually win the Eurovision this year. Israeli performer Netta Barzilai has just made it to the finals, and will be performing against 9 other European countries on Saturday in Lisbon.
