Making Your Wedding Less Expensive For Your Guests
In episode 19 of The One Fab Day Wedding Podcast, we’re showing you some of our favourite ways to make your wedding less expensive for your guests! Now, we've written about this topic before, and every time we do, we find ourselves wondering, "Do couples actually care about this? Surely they're too busy worrying about their own bank balance to think about anyone else's!" Well, it turns out that you are a pretty considerate bunch! The last time we ran an Instagram poll on the subject, 82% of our followers told us that they consider their guests' wallets when they’re making decisions around their wedding, so in this episode of the podcast, we're sharing some tips and tricks for how you can do just that (without blowing your own budget, of course)!
Episode Breakdown: Episode 19: Making Your Wedding Less Expensive For Your Guests
Wedding tip: Claire's latest nugget of wisdom is crucial for anyone planning a day-two party!
Main topic: In this episode, we're presenting a list of ideas for keeping costs down for your wedding guests, across transport, food and drink, hen parties and stag dos, gifting, day-two parties, and dress code! Of course, we're not suggesting that you plan your entire wedding according to your second cousin's financial situation, but if you can incorporate one or two tips from this episode into your big day, your guests will really appreciate it!
Wedding dilemma: A listener writes, “We just did an engagement shoot with our photographer and I’m a little bit stressed out as I don’t love the photos. They’re nice, my friends really liked them, it’s just not what I’d imagined. I wanted something really bright and playful, and these are just a bit classic and moody. I’m really torn between booking a different photographer, and just sucking it up and hoping for the best. I know I’ll lose my deposit but I’m really tempted to cancel and look for someone else. The wedding is in four months’ time.” We're advising this listener to revisit their contract before they start looking elsewhere.
Something to do when you're not planning your wedding: Claire's recommendation this week involves a simple and commitment-free way to see your friends more!
