Letters to Women - Exploring the Feminine Genius
Religion & Spirituality:Christianity
Did you know that women criticize themselves an average of eight times a day? Eight times a day. We’re more likely to see beauty and goodness in the lives of those around us than we are to catch a glimpse of it in our own lives.
If you’ve ever stood in front of the mirror and listed off the litany of things you see that you think are wrong, then you’re not alone.
So how do start talking to ourselves and about ourselves like someone we love?
In today’s episode, I sit down with Patty Breen, a woman who is passionate about ecumenism, living in the power of the Holy Spirit, ministry to divorced Catholics, and women whose relationships have been impacted by sexual addiction.
Topics we talked about in this episode:
Creating your own positive, self-affirming statement
The importance of speaking the truth out loud to ourselves
How to combat automatic negative thoughts
Why affirming ourselves is good for our relationship with ourselves and with others
How you can be more intentional with the words you say to yourself
