Embracing Your 'Real' and Living Better - with Julie Ledbetter
In this episode of the Chasing Freedom Show, I talk with Julie Ledbetter about embracing who you are, being REAL and how to live 'better'.
Julie is AWESOME! She is the epitome of REAL! And it's no wonder, as she started the #embraceyourreal movement on social media.
"Externally accomplished, but internally dying" - that's how Julie describes the person she used to be.
Julie is now a lifestyle mentor, encouraging women to embrace who they are. Inspired by her own struggles, she works with women to help them live every day better than the last through sustainable health and fitness.
One pivotal moment in Julie's inspirational journey was meeting her husband - born deaf, Josh came into Julie's life at one of her lowest points, armed with a degree in health & exercise science. Together, they're chasing their dreams and teaching women how to show up to their lives and experience freedom from toxic dieting patterns and body shame.
Julie and I get deep into: WHO Julie is (not what) - her disordered relationship with food - her fitness competitions & 'stage body' - where #embraceyourreal came from - what inspires her - her marriage & business partnership (and the lessons she has learned through non-verbal communication) - some other fun light-hearted questions, to which one answer is...PIZZA!
