Annabel Crabb is an Australian political journalist, commentator and TV host who is the ABC’s chief online political writer. You might also know Annabel from the Chat 10 Looks 3 podcast that she does with Leigh Sales.
Annabel joined us at Booktopia HQ to chat about her new Quarterly Essay called Men at Work: Australia’s Parenthood Trap. This essay deploys political observation, workplace research and her characteristic humour and intelligence to argue that gender equity cannot be achieved until men are as free to leave the workplace (when their lives demand it) as women are to enter it.
They chat about her new essay, the different standards surrounding men and women at work, work/life balance, men and their families, how companies and employees work together in regards to this and so much more.
