What Harsh Truths Do You Prefer to Ignore?

There are some things in our life that we personally try to avoid thinking about, believing or accepting, There are even some things we try to avoid as a society, community and human race. Maybe it could be due to fear. We are always told to always look at the brighter side which is something I would always say, and still encourage. But sometimes it's okay to think on the other side just to have that reality check. Most especially at a larger scale, as a society, sometimes ignoring harsh truths can be dangerous.
