002: Multiply the Impact of Your Money by Helping the Poorest People in the World | Gret Glyer
Have you ever walked past a homeless person? I've occasionally given my left over food to someone in need on the streets of New York or opened my wallet to give a dollar. Other times, though, I've just kept walking. What do you do?
Our guest today feels compelled to do something bigger and better. He doesn't just think about it. He acts upon it. So much so that His actions have been noticed by venture capitalists.
Today we're talking to Gret Glyer, the founder of DonorSee, an app that lets you help the worlds poorest people seconds after downloading and then shows you the impact of your donation with raw video updates.
From 2013-2016, Gret lived with the world's poorest people in Africa, where he built more than 100 houses for the homeless and crowd funded $100,000 to build a girls school in rural Malawi. He's been featured in USA Today, National Review, and the Huffington Post.
We talk about doing something more meaningful, his personal life mission, and how different life is living in the third world. I'm really excited about this interview. Gret is using technology so all of us can make a meaningful impact on those in need. It's early in the lifecycle of his platform but Gret is someone worth watching in the areas of charity and poverty alleviation.
Let's get inspired, talking to Gret Glyer.
