Retired Rugby Referee: 'Much more scrutiny on RWC refs in social media age'

Vinny Munro is a retired rugby union referee who officiated at the top level of the game. 
He advanced through the National Provincial Championship system to become a Super Rugby referee in 2009, making his test debut the same year in Tokyo, taking charge of Canada v Japan and was selected as an assistant referee for the 2009 Lions tour of South Africa, and six matches at the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Controversy has surrounded the early stages of the RWC, leading to World Rugby to release a statement about refereeing failing to meet the required standards so far at the tournament
