We're usually brimming with confidence when presenting our DFS cash game plays from week to week, but week four is shaping up to be a wild one. With relatively little injury news, big price tags on a lot of the breakout players, and one very thin position, we're going to have to pay pretty close attention to put together coherent lineups for week four.
Quarterback is looking all but locked for us right now. Russell Wilson faces a Cardinals team that has allowed three of the top twenty DFS performances on FanDuel and DraftKings, and he's coming off of one of the best games of his career. If the prices don't wind up working out, the guys also wind up making cases for Patrick Mahomes, Matt Ryan, and Daniel Jones.
Running back is where things get dicey. After an overwhelming chalk option in Christian McCaffrey, it's a wide open field. Doug and James debate whether it's best to go with a high volume running back in a bad match-up (like Dalvin Cook or Nick Chubb) or a cheaper more speculative option (like Wayne Gallman or Rex Burkhead).
Wide Receiver sees a return to sanity, with some excellent value options like Keenan Allen and Tyler Lockett, both of whom seem to have cemented themselves as potential double-digit target guys going forward. We're also looking at the Julian Edelman situation, where we're either ready to play him, or play whomever is replacing him if he winds up sitting this week due to his chest injury.
Tight end presents us with a number of great options at different price points, whether we want to pay up for Travis Kelce, go cheap with Will Dissly, or split the difference with excellent mid-tier options like Evan Engram or Darren Waller.
All in all, week four should be a fantastic one. Be sure to catch Doug and James for their week four game by game podcast tomorrow!
