S2E16: Difficult Language (with Robin Miles)

We celebrate audiobooks with complex language by interviewing narrator Robin Miles about her experience reading the late Zora Neale Hurston’s Barracoon. We also pit the author of the upcoming The Gentleman’s Guide To Getting Lucky Mackenzi Lee against the book’s narrator Christian Coulson, in a game of forgotten phrases from 1700s England. Finally, we play a clip from LuLu Lam’s narration of Thanhha Lai’s Butterfly Yellow, which features heavy use of phonetics and literal language barriers between the main characters.
