This episode is the first of a series to discuss Rojava and questions in regard to the role of imperialism in the region. In this episode, I talk to Justin Podur, and it is in fact a joint production with his own podcast, the Ossington Circle. Justin Podur is an Associate Professor of Environmental Studies at York University, Canada. He is a writer on political conflicts and social movements, and has reported from numerous countries including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Pakistan, Haiti and Israel/Palestine.
