Our southern neighbor is one of this state’s biggest agricultural trading partners, and now the flow of crops and food goods between the two is threatened by a new round of tariffs. Also in jeopardy: the ratification of the revised USMCA trade agreement among the United States, Mexico and Canada. Weather woes and tariff battles have led to a new, $16 billion dollar disaster relief program for the nation’s farmers. We’ll tell what that means for California’s growers.
