Maria Taylor (@MariaTaylor) - ESPN studio host on NBA Countdown and College Gameday and sideline reporter for ESPN’s college basketball and football coverage joins Brian Berger on Sports Business Radio.
Taylor attended the University of Georgia where she played volleyball and basketball for @UGAAthletics. She was named to the All-SEC volleyball team three times and was also a member of the USA A2 National Volleyball team. She graduated from Georgia in 2009 with a degree in broadcast news. She returned to the University to pursue her Master of Business Administration which she completed in May of 2013. She is a native of Alpharetta, Georgia.
Taylor continues to mentor aspiring students looking to go into broadcasting by allowing them to shadow her on game days.
In 2015, Maria Taylor co-founded a non-profit organization called The Winning Edge Leadership Academy. @theweleadership develops the next generation of women and minority leaders in the sports and entertainment business by providing mentors, an influential network, financial and cognitive resources as they begin their journey.
