'Irish' Micky Ward has become a boxing cult hero due to the wars he took part in during a ferocious career.
Most celebrated for his part in one of boxing's great trilogies, with the late Arturo Gatti, Ward also became known to the wider public when the film of his life, The Fighter, starring Mark Wahlberg as Ward and Christian Bale as his brother, Dicky Eklund, had Oscar-winning success.
Ward and interviewer Tris Dixon go back nearly two decades and they discuss Micky's storied career, the epic fights with the likes of Reggie Green, Shea Neary, Emanuel Augustus and Gatti, how he rejuvenated his career and much more.
They also talk about Ward's CTE diagnosis, a neurodegenerative condition he has from fighting, and much more besides as they meet up in Ward's Lowell home.
