A lot of us struggle with social and approach anxiety, worrying and stressing about interacting with and meeting people. The good news is that this is a problem that you can overcome, just like I did! I used to find it very hard to attend gathering and parties and would find excuses to not go or drink too much when I did, to buffer these feelings.
The main lesson here is to take ownership of our feelings and concerns. It can often feel like we know what others might be thinking of us or problems they may have with the way we look or act. As soon as you realize that these thoughts are not theirs, but yours, you can start to change these patterns and feel less anxiety.
