Healing
a Hurt
Sometimes you can get hurt when you are
active. You can help heal an injury like a twisted ankle by following RICE.
RICE stands for Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation.
Rest--Rest
the hurt body part.
Ice--Have
an adult help you put an ice pack on it.
Compression--Have
an adult put a compression bandage on it. This helps keep the swelling down.
Elevation--Keep
the body part raised up.
