As we close out the book of Judges, we see a dismal view of the spiritual and moral condition of Israel. It tells us in the closing chapters that the Israelites "did that which was right in their own eyes." In other words, they had not abandoned a sense of right and wrong, but they had rejected God's definition of right and wrong and replaced it with their own. No nation is safe when it operates independent of God's definition of right and wrong. Unfortunately, we are heading that direction in America, and Christians must be willing to stand for God's truth and to do what is right in HIS eyes.
