News:
The new parade coming to Disneyland has at least partially arrived at the resort, and with an official opening date! Guests will experience this new parade starting on February 28, 2020. As we reported when the parade was announced at D23, this new offering will include characters from Coco, Moana, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Cinderella, Princess & The Frog, Sword in the Stone, Pinocchio, and more. – https://www.micechat.com/245500-disneyland-update-holiday-bomb-hits-gazing-into-2020/
MiceChat has reported this week that some performances of Fantasmic! have been cancelled. There is no word on if this is a technical issue, or a staffing issue. Progress on the Avengers Campus is coming along nicely. Scaffolding is starting to come down around the front of the Spider-Man attraction, while there is still quite a bit left to do on the building that will house the phase two e-ticket attraction that will be topped with a Quinn Jet. With Carthay Circle closing for refurbishment next month, Disney has added a new WOC dining package location. Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian will offer lunch and dinner options with prices ranging from $50 for adults and $25 for children. A new souvenir cup is available in New Orleans Square. The Mint Julep Cup is a different take on the usual sippers found around the resort. The stainless steel cup has a dimpled texture and a simple design, the New Orleans and Disneyland Park logos in black. Peppermint fans rejoice, a new donut has been spotted at the Jolly Holiday Bakery. Calling all churro fans, a new holiday churro is now available at the Snackin Place! The Christmas Tree churro is covered in green sugar and comes with a side of cherry pie dipping sauce. We are happy to announce that we were right when talking about the Play Disney Parks app integration to the Indiana Jones Adventure including the ability to decode the hieroglyphics in the queue. Wednesday, January 8th will be Anaheim Ducks Day at Disney California Adventure. Hollywood Land will be taken over by the team with decor, meet and greets, activities, and more. Children selected from local nonprofit organizations, including GOALS, Cops 4 Kids and Pure Game will take part in the event. Merchandise and special treats will also be available.
