The question is what to do if someone is unhappy? How can we make them happy? Is there anything by which there is always bliss and happiness in the society and there is not even a fraction of unhappiness? We usually use a phrase that a certain person is very good. Is that person good who is good to everyone? Or, that person is good who is good to you? Simply speaking, we generally like that person who is good to us. It does not matter much to us if he is good or not good to others. If someone talks to you with love and respects you and loves you, giving you what you want then in your eyes he is a good person. You will say that he is a very good person. Or, if there is a person who is always helping the society for example that person is a doctor and whole day he had a free medical camp for the people and at the end of the day you asked him to go out for a cup of tea and if he refuses, you will say that he is not a good person.
The definition of happiness and sadness is so personal that even if we try to give it a common definition, it would be incorrect. It will have no meaning because a person may be a very good person but if he is not good to you, you will not like him.
