It shouldn’t have to be stated, but “Thou shalt not root for the Dirty Birds”. Some may have admired the rise of Lamar Jackson and Baltimore’s dominance this year, but it is no way acceptable to ROOT for a Ravens victory.
Fortunately 99.9% of we Steeler fans put enough needles into our Voodoo dolls to ensure Baltimore’s demise at the hands of the Titans in a 28-10, in a wheels-falling-off blowout to the Titans.
Well, now, with those unpleasantries behind us, let us CELEBRATE the election of Bill Cowher to the NFL Hall of Fame!! In a surprisingly creative move on the part of the NFL, Bill was notified of this honor on camera during his CBS “The NFL Today” show. Watch it. But do it in private - it will draw a tear.
Of course there’s conflict when it comes to HOF selections. Should electees be GOATs? What if their talents are hindered on bad teams for the entirety of their careers? What about Hines Ward?
Kevin Stefanski is the new head coach of another AFC North rival - the Cleveland Browns. The jury is out on this long-term Minnesota Vikings coach, but consider that it is the Browns who have hired him. We don’t reserve judgement until next season. Is his success dependent of Gary Kubiak, or does he create his own success?
Speaking of Freddie Kitchens, did you know he was QB at Alabama? Do you notice a resemblance to Independence Community College head football coach Jason Brown (also a former college QB)?
