Dr. Yang Discusses the Evaluation of Erectile Dysfunction and the Importance of his Fellowship in Prosthetics for Great Outcomes
Thanks for tuning in to the Armor Men’s Health Hour Podcast today, where we bring you the latest and greatest in urology care and the best urology humor out there.
On Today’s episode, Donna is joined by Dr. Yang, one of NAU’s board-certified urologists. Additionally, Dr. Yang completed a fellowship in men’s health, specifically in sexual dysfunction, and shares a bit with us today about how his training impacts how he treats patients today.
One of the great things about working in urology is that no subject is taboo. That is to say, we can talk openly about topics that often seem uncomfortable or impossible to discuss, especially with a healthcare provider.
In a 2010 Livestrong survey conducted among cancer survivors, 43% of people reported sexual dysfunction as a concern. Dr. Yang shares with us some of the effects that cancer treatments can have on our normal sexual drive and function, as well as encourages men to seek out the appropriate support. The NAU team, for example, is equipped with a physical therapist and sex therapists, to provide the best possible quality of sex-life for patients after treatments.
