Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz
News:News Commentary
On today’s special show, you will get a briefing from an active-duty border agent supervisor like you’ve never heard before. Walk in the shoes of a border agent for just one day before you criticize them. Sergio A. Tinoco (@VeteranTinoco on twitter, Proud American on Facebook) is author of a book, "Proud American: The Migrant, Soldier, and Agent." He joined the military and served for 10 years, then became a border agent in the hardest-hit areas of the Rio Grande Valley sector.
Sergio explains the unimaginable trials and tribulations of border agents' conflicting mission that keeps changing because Congress refuses to work with them. They are confronting a vicious cycle of failed policies and lack of resources that emboldens the cartels to outmaneuver them at every turn. They are assaulted, yet few of those they catch are ever prosecuted. He also explains how Congress is making their lives worse by funding more humanitarian care at detention centers, thereby draining more agents, without giving them more resources for enforcement, countering cartels, or giving ICE more funding for beds and repatriation.
