Family Day – Family Yoga: Finding Balance Together with Melissa Ross
Aired Monday, February 17, 2020, at 9:00 AM PST / 12:00 PM EST
Why teach kids yoga? Because they need it!
Children are naturals when it comes to yoga. However, kids today don’t move as much as they should. Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that’s non-competitive.

Kids love yoga!
Getting physical can be embarrassing for kids who are out of shape or un-coordinated. The thought of embarrassment discourages many kids from even starting a team sport.
In yoga, the learning curve is more private and personal. It’s easier to get started and they continue at their own pace. Kids may not want to join a team, but kids love yoga!
Why families should do yoga together… because WE ALL need it!
Adults and seniors don’t move like they used to in their younger years. Yoga offers a gentle stretching and meditation experience in a seated position that makes it easy to participate. There are no winners or losers in yoga, just explorers! Sharing the yoga experience as a family benefits all members and makes a difference in everyone’s life.
Join us today as Melissa Ross talks about the thoughtful combinations of poses and breathing techniques for children that are brought to life through play, songs and storytelling that are taught at Breathe With Me Yoga and shares how classes foster strength, creativity, focus, cooperation, and confidence for a happy, healthy and balanced life.
It’s Better To Teach Healthy Kids Now Than To Fix Broken Adults Later.
