NFL Proposes 17 Game Regular Season, 7 playoff teams in AFC/NFC

The Denver Broncos odds of making the playoffs in 2020 would increase if the NFL's proposed 7 team playoff format is agreed upon in terms of the next Collective Bargaining Agreement. The NFL is looking at expanding to 17 regular season games, eliminating one preseason game, and increasing player shared revenue to 48.5%. The biggest topic however is seeded around the NFL Playoff Picture - the #1 seed in the AFC and NFC would have first round byes. That would mean that the NFL would have 3 Wildcard games for the NFC and AFC each respectively. This increases the appeal to the NFL for moving to a 17 game schedule.
