Timepiece asks: So when you’re doing your final edit – the line edit – do you have a list of things to search/replace, or at least search/check? Phrases you tend to overuse, homophones you tend to confuse, punctuation to check? I really like em-dashes but they’re really hard to insert as you go, so I use — and then replace when I’m done. And I know the correct usage of there/their/they’re, but it’s easy to type the wrong one when I’m trying to get stuff down.
