"The poltergeist began to attack little Maria Jose again. She was slapped by unseen hands across the face hard enough to leave bruises..."
A quote from today's first of two tales. Our first story comes from Brazil - the Jaboticabal poltergeist. What tormented an eleven-year-old girl and her family in Brazil in the mid-1960s? Or second story covers the history of one of the most famous haunted houses in America - the Winchester Mystery House. Why did Sarah continue to work on her giant San Jose home for nearly 40 years? And is it still haunted today? And Lynze reads two very listener-submitted creepy tales at the end of the episode.

Opening Sumerian protection spell (adapted):
"Whether thou art a ghost that hath come from the earth, or a phantom of night that hath no home… or one that lieth dead in the desert… or a ghost unburied… or a demon or a ghoul… Whatever thou be until thou art removed… thou shalt find here no water to drink… Thou shalt not stretch forth thy hand to our own… Into our house enter thou not. Through our fence, breakthrough thou not… we are protected though we may be frightened. Our life you may not steal, though we may feel SCARED TO DEATH."
