It's Episode 310. In this episode I'm joined by Neil Thollander and Paul Hart from the "Movies from the Hart" and "The Animated Batcast" podcasts. In Good Pop Bad Pop we have a ton to cover. Paul talks about a couple of Apple TV Plus shows: The Morning Show and For All Mankind. Then we move into the newest Apple TV Plus show Servant from executive producer M. Night Shyamalan. We all talk about the Netflix show The Movies That Made Us from the same people that brought us The Toys That Made Us. In this series they talk about the making of different beloved films and how it's not always easy to get them to the big screen. The first four movies covered in the series are Dirty Dancing, Home Alone, Ghostbusters and Die Hard. Brian talks about a few movies he's seen this week: Queen & Slim out now in theaters, The Parts You Lose starring Aaron Paul and A Prayer Before Dawn a 2018 A24 film that takes place in a Thailand prison. We all discuss Martin Scorsese's newest film The Irishman and opinions are all over the place. Tons of animated talk this week too. Brian and Paul talk about a new French animated film that dropped on Netflix titled I Lost My Body. We also discuss Harley Quinn on DC Universe and Brian talks about a steampunk boxing anime called Levius out now on Netflix. The News was light this week with the holiday but we do talk about the Godzilla vs. Kong movie delay and the critics reactions to the first screening of the Sam Mendes World War I epic 1917. In Marvel News we've got some Black Panther 2 rumors to discuss. Rumors are circulating about the villain for that film and it may not be who you think. But are we buying these rumors? Also, Mark Ruffalo met with Kevin Feige about the future of the Hulk and he has an idea for a future movie he'd like to see happen. In DC News we talk about the recent Variety article titled "DC Films Plots Future With Superman, Green Lantern and R-Rated Movies". Tons to talk about here from The Batman, to the future of Superman, Green Lantern, Birds of Prey and The Suicide Squad ratings, The Flash and even some talk about The Snyder Cut. In Star Wars news we talk about some quotes from Deborah Chow about her Obi Wan Kenobi series coming to Disney Plus. This is all after her debut of her episode of The Mandalorian Chapter 3: The Sin. We also talk about a certain cast member of The Rise of Skywalker that maybe partied a little too hard and a script for the film ended up on eBay.
